Draft Writing

In many older weaving drafts, the treadling is not marked with dots, crosses or squares. Instead the movements are written out, or drawn, as continual lines almost as a form of asemic, cursive, handwriting. The points "selecting" specific treadles are integrated into flowing lines of movement.

This abstraction is an attempt to think about those motions, these streaks and paths that flow from hand to draft to weave.
